About Hokkaido Ranch Mystery Book Series for Children

Once upon a time there was a boy named Michael who lived on a ranch where he played in pastures, explored the woods, and swam in the pond.

With his parents, Michael took care of the land and its animals. In addition to the wildlife, there was a goat yard and an apiary filled with honey bees.

Then the day came that Michael was old enough to go to school. Before he boarded the yellow bus for the first time, Michael petted the new ranch dog.

“Be a good girl, Cheyenne,” he said. “Take care of the ranch for me while I’m gone.”

“I will!” she barked, before spinning in circles and dashing down the lane towards the house.

“Running the ranch will be easy,” she thought. “Now that I’m in charge.”

Yet everything was not as it seemed.

Because Cheyenne soon discovered things could go wrong. And it was her job to fix them before Michael returned home from school. After all, she was the boss.
